Terms of Service

Using GitDepth
GitDepth is a free tool that parses source code you provide — a public GitHub repository URL, an uploaded ZIP, or a local folder — into an interactive diagram, with optional AI-generated summaries and chat. By using it, you agree to these terms.
Your responsibility for what you submit
- Only submit code you have the right to analyze (your own code, or public/open-source repositories you're permitted to use).
- Don't use GitDepth to process malware, unlawful content, or anything intended to abuse the service or your AI provider.
- Don't attempt to overload, scrape, or disrupt the service.
AI features and your own API key
Node summaries, Story View, and chat all run on an AI provider's API key that you supply yourself in Settings — GitDepth doesn't provide or pay for this on your behalf. You're responsible for that provider's own terms, pricing, and usage limits, and for keeping your key confidential. These features are unavailable until you add a key.
The resulting summaries, journeys, and chat answers are generated by a third-party language model and grounded in the parsed graph, but they can still be incomplete or wrong. Treat them as a starting point for understanding your code, not a substitute for reading it.
No warranty
GitDepth is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Parsing is heuristic — especially for JavaScript/TypeScript — and may miss or mis-resolve edges in complex or unusual code. We don't guarantee uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the GitDepth project is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Ownership
GitDepth's software, design, and branding are proprietary. Using the service doesn't grant you any rights to its source code or underlying implementation. You retain all rights to the code you submit for analysis.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the update.
